Christopher J. Meyer
President and Chief Executive Officer, Baton Rouge Area Foundation
Donor-advised funds are one of the fastest-growing vehicles in philanthropy today, yet many fundraisers still aren’t sure how to approach them. This session, “D.A.F. 101,” will break down what DAFs are, why donors are increasingly drawn to them, and how nonprofit professionals can build the relationships and strategies needed for successful dialogue with DAF holders and their advisors.
We are honored to welcome Chris Meyer as our featured speaker. Meyer has served as President and CEO of the Baton Rouge Area Foundation since February 2022. Prior to joining the Foundation, he was CEO and founder of New Schools for Baton Rouge, a nonprofit that has raised more than 80 million dollars to recruit and support top-flight charter schools.
In this session, Meyer will draw on his experience leading one of the region’s most established philanthropic institutions to walk attendees through the fundamentals of donor-advised funds and offer practical guidance for engaging DAF donors effectively.
Whether you’re new to donor-advised funds or looking to sharpen your approach, this session offers critical insights into building relationships and strategies for successful dialogue with DAF holders. Don’t miss it.
