The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the complex decision-making and political considerations that influence when and how foundations will engage in public policy. The course will examine these issues through course work and participation in an interactive case study on a current social justice issue.

There will be four 90-minute sessions. At the end of the course, students will be required to write a 2-3 page, double spaced, paper on how they will use what they have learned to advance a social justice issue that they care about.
