The Black Health program model will follow a practical knowledge approach, covering the following relevant subject matter: hypertension and diabetes prevention and obesity and stress management. The curriculum is designed and administered by the Southern University College of Nursing and Allied Health and underwritten by the Valdry Center for Philanthropy. The program will be delivered online over an eight-week period and offered in two sections (Tuesday 9am – 11am or Thursday, 6pm – 8pm). All cohort members will receive full tuition scholarships and certificates of completion for the course, as well as other incentives for participation. Each section will be limited to 50 cohort members.
